Begin with thorough preparation of the walls, ceilings and woodwork. It is important that all the walls and ceilings are sanded smooth and that all imperfections are spackled or joint compounded. Then we apply a coat of primer to seal the surface (the primer can be tinted to match the finish coat). Upon completion of the primer, the walls should be sanded and cleaned again prior to application of the finish coat. One coat of finish may provide you with adequate coverage, however, two coats are recommended.
Trims and Woodwork
The woodwork needs to be primed and all knots need to be sealed with a BIN or KILZ to prevent bleeding. Then we apply a coat of primer. Next, all the nail holes should be filled and all joints need to be caulked. The woodwork should then be sanded and cleaned to accept the finish coat. One coat may be sufficient but two are recommended.
